ABOUT DREAMMAKERSet in Nova Scotia, Dreammaker is a story about a young man’s life in the late 1940's. Every film starts its life as a ‘pitch’. It’s the first thing all Producers, Directors and Actors insist on reading. Screen plays or scripts are either original or adapted from existing books, they are written in an abridged way vs the traditional way of storytelling on purpose. Creative people want to fill in their own blanks, they don’t want their own visions limited. Dreammaker was written as a screen play, I knew when I decided to publish that this format was not going to be for everyone. I also knew that there would be readers out there who might be looking for something more challenging. I want you to take the helm. Read my words and direct your own movie. I feel viewers today are extremely astute and that their minds are more powerful than our industry sometimes gives them credit for. Fill in the blanks, choose your own actors, direct your mind’s eye to what you want to see. Each person’s version will be based on their own life experiences. Enjoy your journey.
